Donor Embryo

Embryo donation is a procedure that enables embryos created from donor sperm and donor eggs specifically for the purpose of donation to be transferred to an infertile patient’s uterus, in order to achieve a pregnancy. In most infertility cases, it is usually enough if either the oocyte/egg or sperm is taken from a donor for the purpose of treatment with ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology) depending on the cause of Infertility. However, a few couples may need both donor sperm and donor oocytes to create embryos and help them conceive. In such situations, the treatment option of Donor embryo adoption/transfer is recommended. The written consent of both partners is mandatory before starting this treatment.
