MIS
(Minimally Invasive Surgery)

Minimally Invasive Surgery

Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) is a technique where the surgeon performs the surgery through the natural openings of the body or a few small incisions of about half to one centimetre instead of a large incision in traditional open surgery.

The surgeon uses specialised instruments fitted with scissors or graspers and a camera in MIS.

The advantages of MIS include:

  • Smaller incisions that are less painful and heal better.
  • Magnification of the operating field that allows for better visualization.
  • Use of microsurgical techniques to reduce the risk of scarring and bleeding.
  • Shorter stay at the hospital
  • Faster recovery

Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy procedures used for fertility treatments are both minimally invasive procedures.

Our fertility specialists are skilled in restoring healthy conditions in the uterus and uterine cavity using minimally invasive / Laparoscopic / Hysteroscopic surgical techniques. These techniques result in shorter recovery times, enabling you to attempt to get pregnant sooner.
